An experienced and versatile drummer based in Charlotte NC, Larry has performed at clubs and festivals with the following bands:
Chicagoland area in 2000 - 2017:
- Dollhouse (2001-2003) - female rock;
- Livin Large (2003-2005) - classic to modern rock,
- Kimberly Kane and Big Trouble (2005 - 2009) - Aretha to Led Zep!
- Scarlet Fever (2009 - 2011) - primarily female classic to modern rock
- Final Groove (2013 - 2017) - Motown, disco, classic rock, current hits
Charlotte NC 2017 - present:
- Chasing Phoenix Band (2020- 2021) - Female-fronted variety band.
- 3 Savile Row (2021-2022) - Best of the 60s and 70s British rock.
- Wagon Load a Trouble - (2021 - 2023) - classic country, western swing, rockabilly, current country.
- Walter Finley (2017 - present) - singer/songwriter - I accompany Walter on a cajon-based drum kit.
- “Carolina Troubadours” - new project coming soon in 2024
Background:
Prior to moving to the Chicago area in 2000,, Larry was part of an 80s tribute band in Hartford, Connecticut called "The Breakfast Club". Additional prior experience includes blues/rock bands, wedding/corporate bands, and musical theatre productions.
Larry uses Gretsch, Yamaha, and Noble and Cooley drums, Zildjian and Paiste cymbals, DW and Yamaha hardware, and Protection Racket and Ahead cases.
Larry's influences include Ringo, Kenny Aronoff, Steve Gadd, Shawn Pelton and Steve Jordan
